2012–2024💡

USC Brain Stimulation Lab

Directed the USC Brain Stimulation Laboratory, conducting research on tDCS and TMS applications for motor learning, addiction, rehabilitation, and cognitive enhancement.

2013–present🎮

Governor's School Programs

Teaching Intro to Computer Programming and Video Game Development (Unity3D) at the SC Governor's School for Science and Mathematics - bridging neuroscience and technology education for advanced high schoolers.

2017–2026🔬

McCausland Center for Brain Imaging

Former Managing Director of the USC McCausland Center - providing cutting-edge MRI infrastructure and expertise for neuroscience research across the university and the broader research community.

2018–present🏥

C-STAR Aphasia Lab

Core investigator at the Center for the Study of Aphasia Recovery - the NIH-funded program project ($23M+) led by Dr. Julius Fridriksson studying language recovery after stroke. We released the Aphasia Recovery Cohort as an open-source chronic stroke repository.

2019–present🧓

Aging Brain Cohort (ABC)

Director of the USC Aging Brain Cohort - a multimodal lifespan MRI database linking brain structure, function, genetics, cognition, and behavior in healthy aging adults. Open-source data. USC Excellence Initiative ($3.25M).

2020–present🧬

SC-ADRC Neuroimaging Core

Core Investigator for the South Carolina Alzheimer's Disease Research Center neuroimaging program - applying structural and functional MRI to understand Alzheimer's progression, risk factors, and biomarkers.

2023–present🧠

NiiVue & Neuroimaging Tools

Co-investigator on NIH R01MH133701 ($2.1M) extending ezBIDS, NiiVue, and dcm2niix for user-friendly cloud-based neuroimaging interfaces. Making brain imaging data more accessible to the research community.

2024–present💻

Brainchop

Contributing to Brainchop - an edge-computing ecosystem for deploying neuroimaging AI models directly in the browser. No server needed, no data leaves the user's machine.
